Hi all,

Have an Office jet 9018.  Internet went out and now the printer has an error that it will not print because I have instant Ink cartridges and it says I need an account.  I have one and it worked on this printer.  Printer shows it is connected to the internet.  I only have 1 network. When I try to connect via the HP Instant Ink page to update it, it doesn't find the printer.  If I use HP Smart it seems to find it but won't print due to the Instant Ink error... ugh!  lol

When I try to print via the phone it states 'The 9010 series appears to be a different printer than previously used'.  I can click through but it still won't print due to the Instant Ink error.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Any ideas on how to get the printer to recognize I have Instant Ink?

Hi all,

After searching and searching, I left the printer on, took out all the cartridges, turned it off then back on.  Received an error message saying no cartridges so I installed them and presto.... it recognized them and Instant Ink would finally connect.

So that was my fix.  Makes no sense but it worked!
