Having trouble printing on 135 gsm /91lb envelopes (HP officejet Pro 9025e).
Can an HP printer handle 135 gsm /91lb? I can print on regular paper, but there is no option from the drop down menu under paper type that can accommodate the envelopes I have.

If you are trying to use Word > Mailings > Envelopes, then the options are limited to the hidden limitations for printing envelopes in that environment.
The Challenge
Make the printer believe you are using a supported paper size and type.
Use a program to print the content on that paper size and type.
Next,
The envelopes must stay "closed" as they travel through the printer.
For example, if the envelope flap dislodges the printer will respond with an immediate paper jam.
What might work --
- If needful, use removable 2-sided tape to seal the flaps on the envelopes (Yes, extra work - Yes has worked for me - Yes, risks the tape being stripped and ending up caught in the printer)
- Load about five to seven envelopes in Tray 2 >> Reference: User Guide > Starting on Page 18
In EWS > Tray and Paper
- Select the paper size (or size Custom),
- Select an appropriate "heavier" paper type - For example, Thick or Specialty Paper, Matte

The Print Job
The rest of the setup depends on the Operating System / version of your device and the software / application you can use to print the content.
Custom Paper Size Form
The printer supports a large variety of paper sizes, including custom sizes.
Depending on your Operating System / version and your printer software, you might need to create a Custom Paper Size form.
