Help with frequent "Load Paper in Tray ..." printer message.

Is there a way to override this issue in MS Word or Printer Settings?

I can't get this document to print no matter what I do. One issue should never paralyze an entire department, is there a setting to avoid this issue as well?

I notice that your Paper type on most of your settings is "undefined" and this can stop duplexing simply because the printer will not try to perform an operation if it is not sure it can do it. It needs to know paper type because it knows which paper types it cannot print on.

Also make sure that the paper type and size settings on the printer itself match loaded media and what you are trying to print on.

Thanks @RepairATrooper, I tried your suggestion (below), but it did not work, still experiencing the same issue:

  1. Updated M479fdw Embedded Web Server > Tray 2 > Paper Type > to "Plain", and
  2. Updated M479fdw Printer Properties > Paper Type > to "Plain".

Thanks again!

Spoke with Technical support, they recommended a similar solution, a hybrid of your solution and the problem was resolved.
