OfficeJet Pro K5400
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

Hello!

I have an OfficeJet Pro K5400 fitted with refillable cartridges with auto-reset chips on them. It works beautifully and have saved me tons of money on expensive cartridges.

I recently got another OfficeJet Pro K5400 with LAN, however it does not recognize the refillable cartridges - probably the firmware is newer.

My question is: How can I copy the firmware from the old K5400 to the new one?

The firmware data is stored on integrated circuit soldered on the electronic board. To copy data from one IC chip to another you need to desolder them both and use EEPROM programmer software and hardware, and then put all back together.

It would be easier if you could get older firmware version to do downgrade firmware.

The question is  - where to get the firmware and what software is used to flash thos printers?
