There is no context to your question.
File type not supported could mean several things - most of which are not necessarily what you are asking.
One guess,
HP Smart supports printing of PDF files and Images / photos (JPEG).
HP Smart does not support Word, Excel, or other Office formats.
The is no "fix" except to install the Full Driver printer software and print from a supported application / program.
