I can't find where to choose to print landscape or portrait.  It doesn't give me that option under layout and I don't know where to find it.

What Application are you printing from? The screen I am seeing is from "Preview."

From Office (like Word),  you don't see the orientation in the "Print" dialog, but use File -> Page Setup instead, and select the Orientation.

Thanks, Microsoft.

Select "Changing the Orientation"

------

  • On your Mac, open the photo or document you want to print.
  • Click File, and then click Print.
  • Make sure your printer is selected.
  • If you do not see options on the Print dialog box, click Show Details.
  • Next to Orientation, change the layout to portrait or landscape.

I do not see the same screen as you do.  I tried to take a screenshot but can't find it under screenshots.  Mine does not have the picture on the left or the orientation.  Otherwise it does look the same.  Thank you for trying to help.

Thank you so much!  This has been driving me crazy!  I was using Open Office.  With your help I found it under Format, Page.   Easy solution when I got out of the box that it was the printer that needed to know how to print it.   I am most appreciative.
