I have had problem with printer's print head. Printer has been condemed as replacement head could not be made to work and printer has been exchanged for new one. Find it impossible to contact HP Ink to discuss change over. If I cancel contract and take out new one I will end up paying for an extra one month usage.

Hey there! @Michael113, Thanks for stopping by the HP Support Forums!
I understand you got the printer replaced and would like to know how to enroll the replacement printer with your existing HP Instant Ink account.
Don't worry I'll try to help you out.
Did you make any changes to your printer?
As you mentioned you got the printer replaced and would like to know how to enroll the replacement printer with your existing HP Instant Ink account.
Set up and enroll the replacement printer with your existing HP Instant Ink account, and then make sure to cancel the enrollment of the original printer.
Step 1: Set up and enroll the replacement printer
In order to enroll the replacement printer in HP Instant Ink, set up the printer hardware and install the latest printer software. During the printer installation, follow the on-screen prompts to continue online to sign in to your Instant Ink account and enroll your replacement printer in HP Instant Ink.
-
Return the used HP Instant Ink cartridges from the original printer to HP.
NOTE:
HP Instant Ink cartridges that were used in one printer cannot be used in another printer. HP supplies HP Instant Ink cartridges with each printer or sends them separately for each printer after enrollment.
-
Set up the replacement printer and install any SETUP ink cartridges. Not all printer models require SETUP ink cartridges. If your printer came with SETUP ink cartridges, failure to install the SETUP ink cartridges might cause an ink cartridge error.
-
Go to https://hp.care/2yb4U5B, type your printer model, click Begin, and then follow the on-screen instructions to install the latest full feature software.
-
Accept the prompts to connect your printer and turn on Web Services. Web Services allows your printer to communicate securely over the Internet with HP Instant Ink.
-
After the printer software installation completes, an option to continue online or an Activate window to enroll in Instant Ink should display.
-
If the activate screen displays, click Yes, activate, and then continue to the next step.
-
If the activate screen does not display or you encounter an issue, go to Enrolling in HP Instant Ink and follow the steps to enroll the replacement printer.
-
-
On the HP Instant Ink enrollment page, type your enrollment card key or choose a plan.
-
If you did not receive an enrollment key from HP, choose a plan, and then continue to the next step.
-
If you received an enrollment key from HP, click Enter Key, and then type the key into the box and click Continue.
NOTE:
If you have an enrollment key, you do not need to add your shipping address or credit or debit card information.
-
-
When the Create HP Connected Account window displays, click Sign In.
NOTE:
You do not need to create a new account.
-
On the Submit Order page, review your information, type a Special Offers key if you have one, check the box to agree to the Terms of Service, and then click Enroll.
If you see a prompt to claim your printer, enter the printer claim code from the Make the Most of Your Printer sheet that printed after turning on Web Services.
-
Check for an HP Instant Ink welcome email, and then continue to the next step.
NOTE:
HP Instant Ink cartridges are delivered 7-10 days after enrollment. When your current ink cartridges are low, replace them with HP Instant Ink cartridges. As soon as you replace one of the ink cartridges with an HP Instant Ink cartridge, your page count and billing cycle begin. The date of your new monthly bill might be different from the date of your original printer's monthly bill.
Next, Cancel the original printer.
