I am trying to scan and my computer is suddenly not connecting to printer because it say the device has been locked by the device administrator. How do I resolve this? Thank you.

A warm welcome to HP Forums! This is a great place to get support, find answers and tips to your technical queries.

I believe we have to perform a full reset and re-initialize the printer in order to remove an administrator lock. The reset instructions are specific for your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may brick the device.

I've send you a private message with reset instructions, follow the reset instruction to perform a full reset and re-initialize the printer.
