I upgraded my plan (accidentally) from the free plan to the next plan up and in an attempt to downgrade again I noticed that the free option was no longer available. I have realized that I do not print enough to need any more than 15 pages per month. I am wondering if I can somehow downgrade back to the sufficient free 15-page plan I was on prior to using an unnecessarily expensive plan. However, if that is not a possible option my next possible inquiry would be as follows: is there some way I can discount the plan that I am on currently as: a) I do not use more than 15 pages per month, and therefore should not be paying the price for pages that I do not use b) I have noticed hidden fees as a result of my changing plans. Thank you for any help that you can offer to me.

Welcome to the HP Forums 🙂 I would like to take a moment and thank you for using this forum, it is a great place to find answers. For you to have the best experience on the HP forum, you could also visit our HP Forums Guide for First Time Here? Learn How to Post and More. I see from your post that you need assistance in downgrading the Instant ink plan. No worries, I'll be glad to help you.
I would suggest you try to change your plan using these instructions:
Depending on your printing needs, you might find you need to increase or decrease the number of pages you want to print every month. However, changes to your monthly plan can affect your billing. Sign in to your HP Instant Ink account to view the available monthly plans and fees per plan, and easily change your monthly plan if necessary.
-
Go to hpinstantink.com/signin (the HP Connected website) to sign in to your HP Instant Ink account, if you are not signed in already.
-
In the My Account section of your HP Instant Ink account page, click Change Plan.
The My Plan section shows your current plan and the other available plan options and fees.
-
Select a new plan, if necessary.
-
If you are upgrading your plan, select when you want the upgrade to take effect. Plan upgrades take effect immediately or at the start of the next billing cycle, depending on your selection. When you upgrade your account, your monthly rollover maximum also increases.
-
If you are downgrading your plan, your plan automatically changes on the first day of the next billing cycle. When you downgrade your account, your monthly rollover maximum decreases and any rollover pages in excess of your new maximum are forfeited.
-
-
Click Change Plan.
You receive an email confirmation of the account change.
NOTE:
For authentication purposes, your credit card company initiates a temporary $1, £1, or €1 charge on the credit or debit card account associated with your HP Instant Ink account. This charge is part of the authentication process used by the credit card company when you make changes to your billing information, such as your address, phone number, or credit card number. While the temporary charge is typically removed after a few days, it can take up to two weeks for the credit card company to remove the temporary charge. HP has no control over this billing.
