Simple. How to reset the printer to factory setting

Hi,

 

On the printer front Panel select Setup > Tools > Restor Factory defaults to reset printer to its factory defaults.

The problem with my printer is that the display works on the outside of the screen but the menu in the square doesn't work.  I've done all the unplugging and re-plugging and finally one time this morning I actually had it working.  But then it quit working again.  Can something be done to fix the display menu?

I would like to factory reset my 6700 printer  but the menu is showing an error related to ink and I cannot have access to the menu.

Is there a way?
