After the death of my Grandfather I inherited his huge collection of CDs. Although many are in excellent condition there are some that need a little more than TLC where the dogs chewed them or they have been scratched. So I've started to copy them onto new cds but I'm having trouble printing labels for them.
I'm using W.H.Smith CD covers as they were the first I came across and Ronyasoft CD DVD Label Maker software. The Ronyasoft program is great and does a good job of getting the art work bang in the middle of the CD template, but when I come to print it out the printer adds this
Illegal software usage is detected. Please order the license, download and install the latest program version from the homepage and type in valid registration data!
to the disc over the top of the CDs graphic.
This only happens when I try and print a CD cover and not at any other time. I can understand if you tried to print bank notes on the printer, but this is just an ordinary graphic.
I've been to the HP homepage but can find the above mentioned "Valid registration Data". All I have is the setup disc that came with the printer.
Can anyone shed some light on whats going wrong with my printer.
Thanks.

Hello Dean
Yes you were right as it turns out. The CD software was in fact a pirated copy and not the genuing thing and thats why I kept getting the red writing over the top of the CD covers.
Anyway, I just went to Ronyasoft and bought the real thing and the CD covers are coming out a treat. Nothing what so ever to do with HP.
Sorry to have waisted your time.
Best of luck.
Michael.
