Hello,
is it possible to safely remove the printer tray? I am trying to pack it in a box for shipping, and the main printer tray will not come out separately from the machine.
many thanks

Hi @RRC2005,
Thanks for stopping by the HP community. A very good day to you. 🙂 I reviewed the post regarding issues with removing the tray from the printer. I will be delighted to assist you here. 🙂
Superb description and stupendous diagnosis of the issue before posting. Kudos to you for that. 🙂
For better clarity and to assist you better I would require information regarding this:
- Did you check the user guide of the printer to see if the tray is removable?
For a start please perform these steps:
- Please check the user guide link: http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c02668142 on how to work with trays and install it. Reverse the process to remove it.
- Sometimes only one of the trays is removable while the other one is fixed inside the computer. Please go through the complete user guide from the list of contents. This might come handy.
- Please refer to pages 28 and 29 on how to install tray 2. You could reverse the steps to remove it.
Please perform all these steps patiently as it is critical to resolving the issue. The trick is to remain patient, Going by your technical expertise and competence I am sure you will be able to perform these steps without breaking a sweat. 🙂
Hope this helps. Let me know how this goes. I genuinely hope the issue gets resolved without hassles and the unit works great.
