Hi @Saad94,
Allow me to welcome you to HP Support Forums! It is a great place to find the help you need, from other users, HP experts, and other support personnel.
I see that you are having issues while accessing the printer EWS. The page that you mentioned which said “insecure” is part of the printer page. It is designed in such a way to warn the users to not proceed ahead because any change of settings in those parts of printer EWS will cause issues for smooth printer functioning.
But, you can proceed to those pages, acknowledging the risk that you are taking. You can simply click on “Advanced settings” on the warning page and then click on “Proceed to the page” (The terms differ in different browsers – but you get the idea)
Now, you mentioned about the printer EWS lock. Did you setup any new password? If not try the user name as “admin” and leave the password blank.
Alternatively, you could try to fix the issue by following the steps mentioned below:
- Obtain the IP address of the printer – You can touch the “wireless” icon on the printer control panel to get the IP address.
- Type the IP address on your web browser to obtain the printer EWS page on your computer.
- Now go to the Security Tab - Administrative Settings.
- Uncheck the "Control Panel Lock".
That should do the trick, let me know the outcome!
Let me know if those steps worked for you.
If they did, that’s awesome!
Give us some reinforcement by clicking the solution and kudos buttons,
That’ll help us and others see that we’ve got the answers!
Good Luck.

Thank you for replying me Jeet singh. I followed all the steps you told me but when I go to the Security Tab - Administrative Settings , there it again starts asking for username and password before I could change any settings. Nevertheless I remembered my old password and with that I was able to login and change the settings.
I'm accepting your reply as a solution as it may help other users.
