Try these steps:
Perform a Hard Reset
- Turn Off the Printer:
- Press the power button to turn off the printer.
- Unplug the Printer:
- Disconnect the power cord from the back of the printer and from the wall outlet.
- Wait for 60 Seconds:
- Allow the printer to sit unplugged to clear any residual electrical charges.
- Plug In and Restart:
- Reconnect the power cord to the printer and the wall outlet.
- Press the power button to turn on the printer.
Verify Cartridges and Printhead
- Open Cartridge Access Door:
- Ensure the printer is turned on, then open the cartridge access door.
- Inspect Cartridges:
- Check if the cartridges are properly installed and seated correctly.
- Remove and reinsert the cartridges.
- Clean the Cartridge Contacts:
- Use a lint-free cloth to gently clean the copper-colored contacts on the cartridges.
Clear Any Paper Jams
- Check for Paper Jams:
- Remove any paper jams from the input tray, output tray, and the cartridge access area.
Update Printer Firmware

Reset Printer Using Software
- Reset Printer Settings:
- From the printer control panel, navigate to "Settings" > "Printer Maintenance" > "Restore Factory Defaults".
- Confirm the reset and allow the printer to restart.
