I have a HPDeskjet 2655 and Mac Os Catalina. The color ink cartridge is empty and I do not want to replace it because I never use color anyway. The thing is, since I replaced my black ink cartridge, my printer automatically prints a test page after every single turnon, which is totally annoying and wastes black ink. How can I prevent it from doing so?

Thanks.  I suspected as much.

@Moha-Arzhang

The lack of color ink is likely to plague the printer until the situation is rectified.

 Solution

Purchase and install that color ink cartridge.

Complete the alignment / setup.

"Test page" might actually be an alignment sheet, in which case it won't stop until you place the sheet on the printer and scan it to complete the alignment.  If this is an alignment sheet, the instructions to complete the alignment task will be printed on the paper that keeps printing.

Thank you for quick reply and correction.

Yes, it is actually "alignment sheet". Yesterday, I did let it to finish the printing process, I scaned the sheet then. It printed for second time the sheet completely but for secont time, I didn't scan the sheet and I tuned it off the printer.

Today, it started to print that sheet again.

You are welcome.

I don't know.

I would guess the sheet won't stop printing because the alignment is not completing - perhaps because "other" ink is not working.  Just a guess - I honestly don't know what the printer thinks is happening.

Perhaps another Expert will have something else to offer based on the type of printer you have and the way it's being used.

Hello.

Well. The only way is to complete the calibration process. If you have any color problems this process will not end until you fix this.
