Hi,
I have just bought HP7510 to replace HP7500. So far, I have found it impossible to print anything!
I frequently print on various papers of various sizes: it can be odd sized gloss photos one minute and matt A3 next. On HP7500 I had paper size/type detection turned off and it was wonderfully easy to use it!
I cannot find a way to turn off paper size and type detection on HP7510! Please!
It would be a great nuisance having to change paper settings between each print. If it is not possible to change the settings, I will have to return the printer. I really cannot subject myself to fiddling with the settings before each print.
Thank you!

@E22,
Welcome to HP Forums,
This is a great place to get support, find answers and tips to your technical queries.
I understand you want to disable auto select.
Please follow the below steps to change the paper feed:
Paper Feed print options menu: Select the tray or feed method, or select Printer Default or Auto Select
For more details, use the HP document and check for the Paper type, size, and input tray settings.
Hope this helps you to fix the issue.
Eager to help you.
Have a great day!
Cheers;)

Hi,
ok, I got paper type on AUTO DETECT and it printed ok for a few months. It has now started again (seemingly totally randomly) stopping jobs for wrong "paper size detected".
I was advised earlier to go to "Paper Feed print options menu: Select the tray or feed method, or select Printer Default or Auto Select"
Neither the printer menu, nor printing software have such option. I cannot find an option to swithch of size detection. It is hugely inconventient to be stopping and restarting printing jobs.
Thank you.

Thanks for responding us,
Let's try these steps,
Restore factory defaults:
1. On printer control panel, select setup menu
2. Select Tools
3. Perform Restore factory defaults.
Once completed, select the paper size to plain paper.
Keep me posted how this goes,
Have a great day 🙂
