HP Recommended

Thick veritical black line appears on any print/scanning using the flatbed only. Printing a document is ok. How do I get rid of the black line? Secondly how can I scan without using the flatbed? Printer is a HP  WorkCenter 6515

Welcome to the HP Community Forum.

 

HP does not have a printer model of this name.

 

Perhaps your printer is this one instead:

Xerox WorkCentre 6515 

 

In general,

Shine a light on the glass at an angle -

Clean, Clean, Clean.

Use a small brush to lift debris from along the edges of the glass.

 

Scanning using the ADF is likely an option in the full driver printer software.
