our printers go into maintenance mode througout the day.  we are an EMS service and do not have 10 minutes every time we start our printers.  By the way ems eis Emergency Medical Services.  We have gone back to using our 2710 printers.  Plug and Play is a Myth.

Thank you for posting on HP Forums,

As I understand your HP Printer goes into maintenance mode every time it's turned on,

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, however, to provide an accurate resolution, I need a few more details: 

Did you attempt to reinstall the printer drivers and/or the full feature software to ensure its correctly installed?

 

The reason I ask is because the issue as you claims is on 5 of your printer (correct me if I'm wrong),

And this cannot be a printer issue if it's on all 5, there's probably an issue with the settings or the drivers installed, so here's what I recommend you do:

 

I recommend you delete the driver at the root level and retry, follow the steps below: 

 

1.) In Windows, search for and open Programs and features 

2.) Select your HP Printer 

3.) Select Uninstall 

4.) In Windows, search for and open Devices and printers 

5.) In the Devices and Printers windows look for your HP printer. If you see it listed right-click on it and choose `Delete' or `Remove Device' 

6.) Open up the run command with the "Windows key + R" key combo. 

7.) Type printui.exe /s and click Ok. (Note: there is a space in between "printui.exe" and "/s") 

8.) Click on the "Drivers" tab 

9.) Look for HP Printer driver. If you see it Click on it and click Remove at the bottom 

10.) Select Ok 

11.) Select Apply and Ok on the Print Server Properties windows 

12.) Close Devices and Printers 

 

Then, Click here to access the HP website, find the drivers compatible with your windows and install it.

If the issue persists, install the windows built-in drivers instead: Click here for steps.
