Hi @Brophil ,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand you are getting the error code OXC4EB827F on your HP ENVY 4501 typically indicates a hardware or firmware issue. Here are some steps you can try to resolve it:

  • Restart the Printer: Turn off your printer, unplug it from the power source, wait for about 60 seconds, then plug it back in and turn it on.
  • Check for Paper Jams: Make sure there are no paper jams or obstructions in the printer. Open all accessible areas and carefully check for any stuck paper.
  • Update Firmware: Ensure that your printer’s firmware is up to date. You can check for updates using the HP Smart app or by visiting the HP website. Update the firmware on an HP printer
  • Check Ink Cartridges: Remove and reinsert the ink cartridges to ensure they are seated correctly. If you have spare cartridges, try replacing them to see if that resolves the issue.
  • Reset Printer: Perform a factory reset on your printer. This can usually be done through the printer’s settings menu. Note that this will erase all settings and return the printer to its default state.
  • Check Connections: Ensure all cables are securely connected. If you're using a wireless connection, make sure the printer is properly connected to your network.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
