Hello everyone, my printer deskjet 2855e is having a problem, it's keeps flashing e0 and not working. I just printed something on it a week ago and it worked fine. This printer is also only 2 months old. Not sure what the problem is, I tried resetting and it didn't help. I just opened up the ink cartridge and noticed there is a white paper strip that seems to be standing up kind of high behind the cartridges, I'm not sure if this is normal or not. Please help, thank you!

Hi @Samo101,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your printer!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

Try these steps:

Check for Obstructions:

  • Open the cartridge access area and check for any paper jams or foreign objects, including the white paper strip you mentioned. If it's not part of the design, carefully remove it without damaging any components.

Cartridge Issues:

  • Ensure the ink cartridges are correctly installed. Reinstall them by removing them and placing them back, ensuring they click into position securely.
  • Check if the protective tape from the cartridges has been removed.

Printer Reset:

  • Disconnect the power cord from the back of the printer while it is still on.
  • Unplug the power cord from the power source.
  • Wait for about 60 seconds, then reconnect the power cord to the printer and the power source.
  • Turn on the printer and see if the issue persists.

Firmware Update:

  • Check if there are any available firmware updates for your printer model. Firmware updates can often resolve hardware and software conflicts.

Align Cartridges:

  • Make sure the cartridges are aligned correctly using the printer's software utility. Run any alignment or cleaning cycles available in the HP Smart app or printer software.

I hope this helps.
