My hp envy 4511 inkjet printer is printing some things very lightly, but other things I try to print will just come out as a blank page. Then today I tried to print a picture and instead of printing real lightly like I expected it looked like a negative print version of the picture. The colors were all messed up!! I’m lost for a solution.

Welcome to the HP Support Community.
Does this happen while copying too?
Let me know how the print quality report looks:
-
Make sure to load the input tray with plain, white paper.
-
On the printer control panel, swipe the display to the left, and then touch Setup
.
-
Touch Tools.
-
Swipe up on the display, and then touch Print Quality Report.
Let's clean the cartridges:
-
Make sure to load the input tray with plain, white paper.
-
On the printer control panel, swipe the display to the left, then touch Setup
.
-
Touch Tools, then touch Clean Cartridges.
-
If the print quality is unacceptable, click Yes when prompted to perform the next level of cleaning.
NOTE:If the printhead is badly clogged, it might require another cleaning cycle. If so, wait 30 minutes before you perform both levels of cleaning again.
If the issue persists, please perform the remaining steps from this document: https://support.hp.com/us-en/product/hp-envy-4510-all-in-one-printer-series/7588794/model/7709715/do...
Let me know if this helps.
