HP envy 5010 printer
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi,

I am trying to print photos on hp printer envy 5010 with hp glossy paper but ink is not drying up after print and quality is poor.

I have tried to print in best quality in setup and also selected glossy paper in the paper type.

My printer and cartridge are new.

Regards,

@akash3030 Welcome to HP Community!

Your printer supports the printing on glossy paper: click here to verify, perhaps, you could check if the copier works fine as a stand-alone device, if that works fine and yet it doesn't print via the PC, please reinstall the printer driver using the below steps to resolve the issue:

  • Press "Windows key" + "r" to get the "Run" window.
  • Type "services.msc" to get Services - Go to "Print spooler" - Right-click and "Stop" the service.
  • Now again open "Run" - Type "spool" and ok - Go to PRINTERS folder - delete everything in that folder.
  • Go to services again - Start the print spooler.
  • Now check for issue resolution.
  • If the issue persists, unplug the USB cable from the printer (if present).
  • Go to Control panel - Programs and feature - Select all the HP printer entries and uninstall them.
  • Now go to Control panel - Devices and printer - Select all the printer entries and remove the device.
  • Press the "windows key" + "r" to get the "Run" window open - Type "printui.exe /s" (There is a space between .exe & /) and press enter.
  • Under print server properties, go to drivers - remove any entry there as well.
  • Again, go to the Run window, type - "c:/programdata" - Go to the Hewlett Packard folder, remove any printer related folders & files.
  • Restart your computer.

Then, use this link to access the HP website, find the drivers compatible with your windows and install it: click here to download

@akash3030

Which ink does not dry, black or the color?

Have you tried using a different ink cartridge and check?

Make sure you are selecting the right paper type before printing from the HP Smart app

Check the print settings on the app Refer to this document for more info on HP Smart app

Have you tried printing photos from any different device and check if the issue persists?

You may also print using AirPrint option from your iPhone, refer to this document.

Keep me posted.
