Hi there

had my all in one printer for 10 months for day to day printing, but bought this model due to it being a photo printer too. Just tried my first photo prints on glossy paper and like many I see on here, there is an issue that when it tries to feed the compatible glossy paper (faces down and tried both single page and with many pages loaded) it starts to print but always crops the top of the image, and is clearly printing the top inch or so onto the rollers.

if I print the same image on plain paper, no issue, but on glossy photo paper struggles to feed.

no side load option and so now think there is no way to print photos on this printer...

all settings correct with paper type, paper is compatible and as I say tried single page and loading a few to help it out.

Welcome to HP support community.

Perform a power reset

  1. Turn on the printer, if it is not already on.
  2. Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you continue.
  3. With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
  4. Wait at least 30 seconds.
  5. Plug back the power cable straight to a wall outlet and printer without any surge protector.
  6. Turn on the printer.

Update the printer firmware

I hope that helps.
