Hi @Derick9,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It sounds like your HP LaserJet P2055d is experiencing an issue with printing only partially on the page. Here’s how you can troubleshoot and potentially fix the problem.

Check the Toner Cartridge

  • Remove and Reinstall the Toner Cartridge: Ensure that the toner cartridge is seated correctly and securely. Sometimes, removing and reinstalling the cartridge can solve the issue.
  • Inspect the Cartridge for Damage: Check the toner cartridge for any visible damage or defects. If the toner cartridge is new but defective, replacing it with a new one might resolve the issue.

Check for Toner Spills or Residue

  • Clean the Printer: Gently clean any toner spills or residue inside the printer, especially around the drum and the toner cartridge area. Use a soft, lint-free cloth to avoid damaging any components.

Inspect the Imaging Drum

  • Check for Wear or Damage: The imaging drum (part of the toner cartridge) could be worn or damaged. If it looks worn or has any marks, you might need to replace it.

Examine the Paper Path

  • Check for Obstructions: Look for any obstructions or debris in the paper path that could be affecting the print quality.
  • Inspect the Fuser Assembly: Ensure the fuser assembly is clean and free of damage. If it is dirty or worn out, it might need to be replaced.

Perform a Printer Cleaning

  • Run the Printer's Built-In Cleaning Function: Some HP printers have a built-in cleaning function. Refer to your printer’s manual or settings menu to perform this cleaning.

Update or Reinstall Printer Drivers

  • Check for Driver Updates: Ensure that you have the latest printer drivers installed. Visit HP’s website to download and install any available updates.
  • Reinstall the Printer Driver: Sometimes reinstalling the printer driver can resolve printing issues. Uninstall the current driver and reinstall it from the HP website.

Check Printer Settings

  • Print Quality Settings: Ensure that the print quality settings are set to a suitable level. Adjusting these settings might improve the print quality.

Perform a Printer Test

  • Print a Different Document: Try printing a different document or test page to see if the issue persists. This will help determine if the problem is specific to one type of print job.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
