Hi @Andyzor,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your HP LaserJet M110we printer is stuck on "validating" status and you're experiencing flashing lights on the power button and exclamation mark (!), it's indicative of a problem that needs attention. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and potentially resolve the issue.

  • Check Toner Installation: Ensure that the new black ink toner cartridge has been installed correctly. It should securely click into place. Sometimes, a poorly seated toner cartridge can cause validation issues.
  • Remove and Reinsert Toner Cartridge: Try removing the new black toner cartridge, then reinsert it carefully to make sure it's properly seated. Make sure there's no packaging material left on the cartridge.
  • Check for Paper Jams: Ensure there are no paper jams or obstructions inside the printer. Even a small piece of paper left inside the printer can cause issues.
  • Perform a Power Cycle: Turn off the printer, unplug it from the power source, and wait for about 2-3 minutes. Then, plug it back in and turn it on. This will perform a complete power cycle, which can sometimes clear error states.
  • Update Firmware: Visit the HP website and check if there are any firmware updates available for your printer model. Sometimes updating the firmware can resolve issues.
  • Factory Reset: If the issue persists, you may consider performing a factory reset. Note that this will erase all custom settings on your printer, so make sure to document those settings before proceeding. The steps for performing a factory reset can usually be found in your printer's user manual or on the HP website.

Remember to document any error messages or codes displayed on the printer screen, as this information can be helpful for diagnosing the problem.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
