bought this printer today and same message. "wait until printing has fished before pushing in output extender tray" . tried sollution below 4 times. no difference. also other people have same error without any other solution? going back to the shop tomorrow if not resolved.

I had the same issue (false tray extender message) right after getting my printer and using it a few times. The unplugging option didn't work. I tried this suggestion below and it worked. I'm using a Mac.
