Hi @Bimbab,
Welcome to The HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand your HP Smart Tank 515 is having some frustrating issues. Here are a few troubleshooting steps you can try to resolve the printing problems:
1. Check for Paper Jams or Obstructions
- Ensure there are no paper jams or obstructions in the paper path.
- Remove any paper and check for small pieces of paper stuck inside the printer.
2. Update Printer Firmware and Drivers Update the firmware on an HP printer
- Go to HP’s website and download the latest firmware for your HP Smart Tank 515.
- Make sure you have the latest drivers installed on your Windows 11 computer.
3. Clear Print Queue
- Open the print queue on your Windows 11 computer and clear any pending print jobs.
- Restart the printer and try printing again.
4. Check Ink Levels
- Ensure that the ink levels are sufficient. If ink levels are low, replace the ink bottles.
5. Perform a Printer Reset
- Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
- Wait for about 60 seconds before plugging it back in and turning it on.
6. Clean the Printhead
- Perform a printhead cleaning through the printer’s control panel or HP Smart app.
7. Check Network Connection
- Ensure that the printer is properly connected to your Wi-Fi network.
- If you are using a wired connection, check the cables for any damage or loose connections.
8. Test with Different Paper
- Try using different types or brands of paper to see if the issue persists.
9. Run HP Print and Scan Doctor HP Print and Scan Doctor
- Download and run the HP Print and Scan Doctor tool from the HP website. It can automatically diagnose and fix many common printing problems.
