I am using HP laser jet M1005 HP printer. My query:
1. While scanning, every page a separate file is created. is there anyway one document with multiple pages can create one file?
2. Can I change the default destination file to save the scanned pages. (from C: drive to some other drive)?

I have gone through your Post and would like to help
Are you scanning from a Windows PC, Mac or Mobile device?
Also let me know if you are using any App for scanning

Yes, you can save the pages in a single document as a PDF file and you can change the destination folder too.
-
To save or email a multi-page scan as a single file, select a PDF option. Multi-page JPEG scans save as separate files.
-
In HP Scan, select a Save as shortcut, and then click More.
-
Click the Destination tab.
The folder your scans save to displays under Save To Folder.
-
To change the default folder, click Browse.
-
Navigate to the folder you want to save your scans to, and then click OK.
-
To save the new folder as the default location for the shortcut, click the Save icon
next to the shortcut.
For more info on how to scan and to change scan settings on the scanning app, refer to this document.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
