I am using HP laser jet M1005 HP printer. My query:

1. While scanning, every page a separate file is created. is there anyway one document with multiple pages can create one file?

2. Can I change the default destination file to save the scanned pages. (from C: drive to some other drive)?

Are you scanning from a Windows PC, Mac or Mobile device?

Also let me know if you are using any App for scanning

So kind to revert to help me.

I am using desktop, windows 7.

The icon 'scan a document' is used (created from HP set up) to scan.  There is no third party app. for scanning.

Hope this helps.  Regards

Yes, you can save the pages in a single document as a PDF file and you can change the destination folder too.

  1. To save or email a multi-page scan as a single file, select a PDF option. Multi-page JPEG scans save as separate files.

  2. In HP Scan, select a Save as shortcut, and then click More.

  3. Click the Destination tab.

The folder your scans save to displays under Save To Folder.

Finding the folder scans are saved to

  4. To change the default folder, click Browse.

  5. Navigate to the folder you want to save your scans to, and then click OK.

  6. To save the new folder as the default location for the shortcut, click the Save icon next to the shortcut.
