My printer screen has an alert:  to check my account (how?),  Because of this problem I won’t be able to print until the issue is resolved.  I don’t know the issue and I’ve tried multiple attempts between my HP printer and my HP laptop!

Is your printer connected to the internet? Either Instant ink or HP+ is likely configured on the printer which requires a constant internet connection or the printer will shut down until it is connected again.
