HP OfficeJet Pro 6978
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My HP 6978 printer, purchased on February 28, 2021 and delivered on March 8, 2021, stopped printing the cyan color.  I ran the head cleaning tests three times and bought two more new 902 HP cyan ink cartridges. but the problem remained, no blue color printing.  I took the printer to an HP serviceman in Atascadero, CA, and he said the electronics are not working in the cyan circuit and the printer cannot be repaired.  I had been told last week by HP online that my printer is out of its 90 day warranty and that nothing could be done for me.  So, today (Nov. 12, 2021) I bought another new HP OfficeJet Pro 6978.  The manual on this one states that there is a one year warranty, not a 90 day warranty, as explained to me last week.  I feel that HP is responsible for replacing my defective HP 6978 printer and should issue a refund for my original purchase or reimburse me for the amount I paid for the replacement printer.  I did nothing to cause the malfunction.  It is completely the fault of the printer as it was manufactured.

Why would you believe that warranty is 90 days? The warranty is a minimum of 1 year on some printers 2 or 3 years.

Have you provided the proof of purchase to the HP serviceman in Atascadero and what was their response?
