HP Officejet 6600
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

I can't get my HP O/Jet 6600 to print wireless with my WiFi Computer. I am using Windows 7 but I have no idea whether this is 32bit or 64bit or even what that means, sorry.

When I choose print on my computer, and then click on devices/printers it tells me that it is printing and then after a short time it says error. I have checked the printer section on the computer and the correct printer has the green tick on it but that is all I know.???  The printer is showing is showing at least 4 bars on the reception at all times. Please can you help in any way??

A very warm welcome to the HP community. A very good day to you.

I understand that you have an HP Officejet 6600 e-All-in-One Printer and it does not print wirelessly. Not to worry, I'll do my best to help you.

I would like to know the following information to assist you better:

  • Is the printer able to make a copy? If yes, then it indicates that the printer's hardware is working fine and the issue lies with the network or software.
  • Are other devices or computers communicating fine with each other in the network?
  • Are you able to print from another PC (if available)?
  • Did any changes take place on the computer recently after which the printing stopped?

Meanwhile, I did some research and suggest you to perform the following steps:

  • Disconnect the power cable from the printer while the printer is still ON.
  • Disconnect any other cables if connected the printer.
  • Press and hold the printer’s power button for 15 seconds.
  • The printer should be directly connected to the wall outlet and not to a surge protector. Reconnect the power cable to print and the printer should power ON by itself. If the printer doesn’t power ON then please manually power it ON.

Please download and run the HP Print and Scan Doctor software. This is a free tool for Windows to help resolve printing and scanning problems.

I hope this fixes the issue. Please feel free to let me know how it goes. Cheers! 🙂

Thanks for posting on the hP Support Forums page. I'd like to assist you with this case.

I understand that you have an HP Officejet 6600 e-All-in-One Printer and it is unable to print the Bank America bill payment receipt and also your emails. Not to worry, I'll help you.

I would like to know the following information to assist you better:

  • What operating system are you using (Windows or Mac)?
  • Is the printer able to make a copy?
  • Did any paper jam, etc happen on the printer recently?

I did some research for this case and recommend you to try a few steps to fix the issue:

  • For Windows: Please download and run the HP Print and Scan Doctor software. This is a free tool for Windows to help resolve printing and scanning problems. If the issue persists post running the HP Print and Scan Doctor then let us uninstall the printer drivers from the root level and below steos will help you with that.
  • In Windows, search for and open Programs and Features.
  • Select your HP printer.
  • Select Uninstall.
  • In Windows, search for and open Devices and Printers.
  • In the Devices and Printers window look for your HP Printer. If you see it listed, right-click on it and choose "Delete" or "Remove Device.”
  • Open up the run command with the "Windows Key + R" key combo.
  • Type printui.exe /s and click OK.
  • Click on Drivers tab.
  • Look for HP Printer driver. If you see it click on it and click Remove at the bottom.
  • Select OK.
  • Select Apply and OK on the Print Server Properties windows.
  • Close Devices and Printers.

You may download and install the drivers from this link.

Hope these steps work well. Please let me know. Cheers!
