Hi,

You cannot connect your printer to a wireless adapter, but only to a router that provides LAN capabilities.

The WPS button on the TL-WN822N meant to connect to a router that uses a WPS push button, you cannot connect the printer to it using WPS or any other method, as listed by its documentation below:

https://static.tp-link.com/7106507544_TL-WN822N(EU)(US)_V5_QIG.pdf

https://static.tp-link.com/2018/201810/20181022/TL-WN822N(EU&US)%205.0_datasheet.pdf

If you don't have a router, you may connect your computer to the printer using Wireless Direct, see page 87 of your printer user guide:

http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c04046257

Be aware that when connected to the printer via Wireless Direct, you won't have any internet access on your computer, you would only be able to print.

Don't you have a router with a wireless network at your location?
