I cannot get my HP laptop computer to print on my HP office jet pro 6978 printer

PLEASE HELP ME SOMEBODY, ANYBODY.

I know my issue has gotta be simple to fix. I have a HP Pavilion x360, 12 Gen Intel Core Laptop.  I also have the HP OfficeJet Pro 6978 all in one printer. The guys at staples set everything up for me when I bought the computer and the laptop and told me all I had to do was take everything home, connect to network and it was good to go.  Thats exactly what happened, until I moved my printer and  laptop to a temporary workplace.  I connected everything there but the wifi was real bad and it was hit or miss. i was having issues with getting it to print so I moved it all back home and now I cant get it to print anymore. 

I know i have both of them connected to the same network.  And it say ready, etc, etc. 

Another thing I noticed is I cannot open the printer app on my desktop anymore.  It goes to the Account control Device set up again and I follow the directions but it just keeps doing that. I want to uninstall it but I dont know if I am doing it correctly. 

I just need someone to help me get this working and i am so frustrated. Please please please help me....................

Looks like there are some issues in your network wifi connection, maybe you need to go to the basic connection.

1. Simply go to the basics, connect a USB cable between your printer and your laptop.

2. Then install the next software:

>> Officejet 6978 - software for install - Windows

* Click YES   to say thank you, 

* Click Accepted Solution when question is answered.
