Hi @Mike11115, Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

Since your HP DeskJet 4100 prints test pages fine but not emails from both webmail (Gmail, Outlook, etc.) and Outlook application, here are some troubleshooting steps you can try:

Basic Troubleshooting:

Restart Everything

  • Turn off your printer, PC, and router.
  • Wait for a minute, then turn them back on.

Check Default Printer

  • Go to Control PanelDevices and Printers
  • Make sure HP DeskJet 4100 is set as the default printer.

Try Printing from a Different Browser

  • If you are using Gmail or Outlook.com, try printing from Google Chrome, Edge, or Firefox instead.

For Outlook App Issues:

Check Print Settings

  • Open an email → Click File → Print
  • Ensure HP DeskJet 4100 is selected, not "Save as PDF" or another printer.

Update or Repair Outlook

  • Go to Control Panel → Programs → Microsoft Office → Change → Repair
  • Restart your PC after the repair.

Additional Steps:

Try Printing as a PDF First

  • In Gmail or Outlook, choose Print → Select Microsoft Print to PDF → Save the file.
  • Now try printing the saved PDF using your HP DeskJet 4100.

Update Printer Drivers

  • Download the latest driver from HP Support
  • Install the updated driver and restart your computer.

Disable Advanced Printing Features

  • Go to Control Panel → Devices and Printers
  • Right-click your printer → Printer Properties
  • Go to Advanced → Uncheck Enable Advanced Printing Features
  • Click Apply and try printing again.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
