macOS 12.0 Monterey

I cleared a paper jam which but now it won't print.  It tells me to load plain paper in the tray, but there is plain paper in the tray.  I press ok but it's on a loop.  I hear the printer printing but the load plain paper comes on the screen again.

  • Inspect for Residual Paper: Even after clearing a paper jam, small bits of paper might be stuck inside the printer. Open all accessible panels and carefully check for any remaining paper scraps or debris.
  • Reset the Printer: Perform a soft reset by turning off the printer, unplugging it from the power source, waiting for about 60 seconds, and then plugging it back in. Turn the printer on and see if the issue persists.
  • Check for Software Updates: Ensure that your printer's firmware and drivers are up to date. Visit the HP website to download and install any available updates for your printer model.
