Hi @sterlingideas,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If you've replaced the ink cartridges in your HP DeskJet 2752e printer and the light is still flashing, it could indicate a few different issues. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot the problem.
Check Cartridge Installation:
- Make sure the cartridges are properly installed. Open the printer cover and ensure that the cartridges are securely seated in their respective slots. Sometimes, cartridges may not click into place properly.
Remove and Reinstall Cartridges:
- If you suspect that the cartridges aren't seated correctly, remove them and then reinstall them carefully, making sure they click into place.
Check for Protective Tape:
- Ensure that you've removed any protective tape or seals from the new ink cartridges. These protective covers need to be removed before the cartridges can function.
Printer Reset:
- Try resetting the printer. To do this, turn off the printer, unplug it from the power source, wait for about 30 seconds, and then plug it back in. Turn the printer on and see if the issue persists.
Firmware Update:
- Check if there is a firmware update available for your printer on the HP website. Sometimes, updating the printer's firmware can resolve compatibility issues.
Clean Cartridge Contacts:
- If the problem continues, you can clean the electrical contacts on the ink cartridges and the corresponding contacts in the printer. Use a lint-free cloth lightly moistened with distilled water, and gently wipe the contacts. Allow them to dry before reinstalling the cartridges.
Check for Error Codes:
- Look for any error codes or messages on the printer's display panel or on your computer. These can provide more specific information about the issue.
Paper Jam:
- Sometimes, a paper jam can trigger flashing lights. Check for any paper jams in the printer and clear them if necessary.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
