HI @Speed426,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your HP Envy 5252 printer is displaying a blue screen and restarting the printer does not resolve the issue, it may indicate a serious firmware or hardware problem. Here are some steps you can take to try to resolve this issue:

Steps to Resolve Blue Screen on HP Printer

Power Cycle the Printer

  • Turn off the printer.
  • Unplug the printer from the power source.
  • Wait for at least 60 seconds.
  • Plug the printer back in and turn it on.

Check for Hardware Issues

  • Ensure that there are no paper jams or other obstructions inside the printer.
  • Open the printer and inspect the inside for any visible issues.

Perform a Hard Reset

  • With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the back of the printer.
  • Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
  • Wait for at least 60 seconds.
  • Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet and the printer.

Update Firmware via USB (if possible)

  • Download the latest firmware for your HP Envy 5252 from the HP support website.
  • Transfer the firmware file to a USB drive.
  • Insert the USB drive into the printer and follow the instructions to update the firmware.

Use the HP Smart App

  • Open the HP Smart app on your computer or mobile device.
  • Ensure your printer is connected to the app.
  • Check for any firmware updates available through the app and attempt to install them from there.

Factory Reset (if accessible)

  • If you can access the printer menu, perform a factory reset.
  • Go to Setup > Printer Maintenance > Restore > Restore Factory Defaults.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
