HP DeskJet 2755e All-in-One Printer

I am unable to print from my printer since I changed the cartages. I have orange light on the tricolor and flashing A error. Also flashing both cartages.

I understand you are getting the orange light on the tri-color cartridge and the flashing A error, along with both cartridges flashing, typically indicates an issue with the cartridges.

 

 Here are some steps to troubleshoot and resolve the issue:

 

Check Cartridge Compatibility:

  • Ensure you are using the correct cartridges for your HP DeskJet 2755e. The compatible cartridges are usually HP 67 or HP 67XL for the tri-color and black cartridges.

Reinstall the Cartridges:

  • Turn off the printer and unplug it.
  • Open the ink cartridge access door.
  • Remove the cartridges and inspect them for any protective tape that might not have been removed.
  • Reinsert the cartridges firmly until they click into place.
  • Close the ink cartridge access door and plug the printer back in.

Clean the Cartridge Contacts:

  • Turn off the printer and unplug it.
  • Open the ink cartridge access door.
  • Remove the cartridges.
  • Use a lint-free cloth lightly moistened with distilled water to gently clean the copper-colored contacts on the cartridges and the corresponding contacts inside the printer.
  • Allow the contacts to dry for a few minutes.
  • Reinsert the cartridges and close the access door.

Reset the Printer:

  • Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
  • Wait for about 1-2 minutes.
  • Plug the printer back in and turn it on.

Update Printer Firmware: Update the firmware on an HP printer

  • Make sure your printer firmware is up to date. You can check for firmware updates using the HP Smart app or the HP website.

Perform a Hard Reset:

  • With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the back of the printer and the wall outlet.
  • Wait for about 60 seconds.
  • Reconnect the power cord to the wall outlet and the printer.
  • Turn on the printer.

Try a Different Cartridge:

  • If the issue persists, try using a different tri-color cartridge and black cartridge if you have spares. Sometimes, a new cartridge might be faulty.

Printer Alignment:

  • If you can access the printer's control panel or use the HP Smart app, try running a cartridge alignment process. This can sometimes resolve recognition issues with the cartridges.
