I am receiving an error message of 0x6100004a on my HP 6962.   I have performed the actions suggested by HP.  I have updated drivers and I cannot eliminate the error or print.

Try these steps:

Restart the Printer:

  • Turn off the printer and disconnect the power cord.
  • Wait for about 60 seconds.
  • Reconnect the power cord and turn the printer back on.

Check Cartridges:

  • Ensure that all ink cartridges are properly seated.
  • Remove and reinstall the ink cartridges.
  • Check for any ink residue or blockage in the cartridge bay and clean it carefully if necessary.

Printhead Cleaning:

  • Access the printer settings through the control panel and navigate to 'Tools' or 'Printer Maintenance'.
  • Select 'Clean Printhead' and follow the prompts.

Firmware Update:

  • Ensure your printer firmware is updated to the latest version. You can usually find firmware updates on the HP Support Website.
