I need to set up to print from my iPad to my hp 6000 series office jet. I can't access any printer info because my desktop crashed and is not useable. Is there a printer program I can install on my iPad to do the printer set up? And then set up my iPad so I can wirelessly print from the iPad. I've been going to local library to print things, and that's getting old. If there's a help for this I'd so appreciate it. Thanks . localkatmandu

Thank you for responding,
It's great to have you back 😉
If you're using Android you should be able to use HP Printer Service Plugin. You could refer to the link on how to print using the service Plugin: https://support.hp.com/us-en/product/hp-officejet-6000-printer-series-e609/3866939/model/3866950/doc....
Amazon Fire OS is an Android-based mobile operating system produced by Amazon for its Fire Phone and Kindle Fire range of Tablets.
You could refer to this article: Printing from Amazon Fire Devices.
Note: Your printer specs do not mention about printing from Kindle Fire Tablet (But you could try).
Keep me posted,
Have a great day 🙂
Cheers!

Welcome to the HP Forums 🙂
I would like to take a moment and thank you for using this forum, it is a great place to find answers.
As I understand, you wish to print using iPad.
I'd like to thank you for the detailed description of your concern, as you have ensured I don't have to ask any more questions, that said,
I did some research about this and found out your printer can only print from an Android phone since it does not support the application for iPad. You could refer to the specification: Click Here
Therefore, if you have an Android phone you could use HP Print Service Plugin Service to print.
Hope this answers your query,
I hope you have a good day ahead,
And Feel free to ask any other queries as well,
Considering, this forum has some of the best people in the world available and ready to help.

Hi Flower_Bud,, Thank Youuuuu!!!! Yea , finally, a solution. I only use android phones, I have a Samsung Galaxy 8 Edge. So I can try that, and I also have a kindle fire tablet, that should be an android as well, right? I will give both a try. Do I get this app in the App Store? I actually like androids better. I'll let you know how I make out. Thanks localkatmandu

Hi There, all Your information has been a big big help. I've downloaded the program on my fire tablet and cell. What about the printer itself? I'll turn it on and see if I can get something to print from EBay, I do some selling and always need to print mailing labels. Are there any other steps I should follow for the printer? 🤗 Thanks

Thank you for trying possible troubleshooting steps.
Just ensure your printer is connected to your Android devices.
Try printing and keep me posted 🙂

Hi there. An update. I have tried what you have suggested and it did not work. Because I cannot get into the printer program on my computer to turn on the wifi setting. I did download the programs you advised, My android tablet and my cell could not make the connection because the wifi was turned off in the printer program program which is in my computer. My main computer where all my programs has crashed. If there is another way to get into the hp program to turn on the wifi, pls let me know.
