I ran the latest HP update for my printer today, after being prompted by HP to do so. My internet connection immediately failed following this update and now the error says that my wireless radio is not functional. I've searched for fixes and NONE of them have worked. Does HP have a fix for this bug they've now infected my printer with via their lates update?

Hi @kellygarrett7,
Welcome to HP Forums,
This is a great place to get support, find answers and tips,
Thank you for posting your query, I'll be more than glad to help you out 🙂
As I understand, your printer would not connect to Wi-Fi and gives an error message.
Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, however, to provide an accurate resolution, I need a few more details:
Is Wi-Fi light blinking/steady on the printer?
Did you restart the printer after those updates?
Please perform these troubleshooting steps to resolve the issue:
Step 1: Power Drain
1) Turn off the Router, Printer, and the computer.
2) Wait for 60 seconds.
3) Turn on the Router first and wait for all the lights to stabilize.
4) Turn on the printer and allow it to configure itself.
5) Turn on the computer and check the functionality
Step 2: Only for Windows PC
Download and Run HP Print and Scan Doctor:
ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/printers/hppsdr/patches/HPPSdr.exe
Step 3: Reset network settings To reset the administrator password and network settings
1. On the printer control panel, touch (right arrow), touch Setup, and then touch Network.
2. Touch Restore Network Defaults, and then touch Yes.
A message appears stating that the network defaults have been restored.
Once completed, please connect the printer to network following one of the method:
Method 1: To connect the printer using the Push Button Method
1. On the printer control panel, touch (right arrow), touch Setup, and then touch Network.
2. Touch Wi-Fi Protected Setup, and then follow the onscreen instructions.
3. When prompted, touch Push Button.
4. On the wireless router or wireless access point, press and hold the WPS button for 3 seconds. Wait for about 2 minutes. If the printer connects successfully, the wireless light stops blinking but remains lit.
Method 2: To connect the printer using the PIN Method
1. On the printer control panel, touch (right arrow), touch Setup, and then touch Network.
2. Touch Wi-Fi Protected Setup, and then follow the onscreen instructions.
3. When prompted, touch PIN. The WPS PIN appears on the display.
4. Open the configuration utility or software for the wireless router or wireless access point, and then enter the WPS PIN.
Method 3: The Wireless Setup Wizard provides an easy way to set up and manage the wireless connection to your printer.
-
Press the Power button to turn on the printer.
-
Touch the right arrow
to display the second navigation screen.
-
Touch Setup
, and then touch Network.
-
Touch Wireless Setup Wizard, and then touch Continue. The Wireless Setup Wizard searches for networks, and then displays them in a list.
-
If necessary, touch the down arrow
to scroll through the network names until you find yours.
-
Touch the name of your network, and then touch OK.
If the list does not contain your network name, touch Refresh. The Wireless Setup Wizard searches for networks again, and then displays them in another list. Check the list for your network.

If the issue persists, please perform reset on your printer. This would bring your printer to its factory condition.

Thank you for the help. I saved your advice for next time. It worked like a charm!
I had also received a private message from someone, Mick_Tech, who provided this response:

Subject: HP Helpdesk
Note:
Dear Customer,
We really appreciate for your concern regarding your HP Product. But its hard to provide you the appropriate solution for this issue in community. In order to get easy and hassle free HP Technical support for you peripherals. Kindly call +1-818 660 0765 (US/Canada) & +44-020 3289 7008 (UK) for assistance.
When I contacted the number they asked me to go to a website where they would be logged in to my computer. I went to the website and saw NO HP logos or symbols and immediately cancelled the action and ended the call. I suspected it was fraudulent. When I searched google for this phone number I found several posts about it being bogus and could be hackers.
