Right out of the box new insatallation and the 3dot said it's incompatible!   The Black evidently is ok..  Both pks marked HP instant Ink ready 63   Never ever had this happen with my Epsons.  So upset, I needed to print some important papers tonight.

This is our second HP and probably our last,  we too can never get past the incompatible ink cartridge message,  ours is only two months old,  first time changing the cartridges,  same experience with our first HP.    You get sent to the page that tells you to reinstall and clean and keep trying over and over.  Good luck

Hi everyone, we were still trying to get past the message on incompatible ink cartridge and found a solution that worked for us.   We were only replacing the black cartridge as the ink was gone.   Every time we replaced the black ink cartridge we got the message.  We just tried removing the color cartridge even though it did not need to be replaced.  We simply took it out and put it back in and the message went away.  We did not replace it with a new ink cartridge.  When we did  this the message went away.    Hopefully this helps someone who may be experiencing this problem.

 

I would suggest removing both cartridges even though you may not be replacing them both.
