Hi @Medium7,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

I understand your HP Envy printer is not printing after clearing a paper jam, but the printer acts like it is printing; it may indicate a few potential issues related to the ink cartridges or the printhead. Here are the steps to troubleshoot and resolve the issue:

Check the Ink Cartridges

Remove the Cartridges:

  • Open the cartridge access door and wait for the carriage to stop moving.

  • Press down on the cartridge to release it, then remove the cartridge from its slot.

Inspect the Cartridges:

  • Ensure that all packaging materials, including the protective plastic tape, have been removed from the cartridge's contacts.

Clean the Contacts:

  • Use a lint-free cloth dampened with distilled water to gently clean the electrical contacts on the cartridge.

Reinsert the Cartridges:

  • Reinstall the cartridges by sliding them into their corresponding slots until they click into place.

  • Close the cartridge access door.

Perform a Printhead Cleaning

  1. Access Printer Tools:

    • From the printer's control panel, go to the Setup or Tools menu.

    • Select the "Clean Cartridges" or "Printhead Cleaning" option. This will help clear any blockages.

Perform a Printer Reset

  1. Power Cycle the Printer:
    • Turn off the printer using the Power button.

    • Unplug the power cord from the printer and the wall outlet.

    • Wait for at least 60 seconds before plugging the cord back in.

    • Turn on the printer and try to print again.

      I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!
