Bought Printer and laptop in Singapore. moved to UK. Inserted color cartridges and get incompatable cartridge error.
Raised a customer support request and was told that as the printer is out of warranty there can be no support.
Hmmm
I need a regionalisation reset to use color cartridges bought in the UK but this means that the 5 black cartidges I have from Singapore will then be useless.
This Regionalization issue was never made known to me at the time of purchase and I feel that this is a real rip off by HP (cheap ink cartridges in Asia ???)
Currently left with having bought expensive color cartridges which will not work in my printer because HP will not do a regionalization reset.
Best option please?
(maybe buy a new printer.. but for sure it will not be an HP)

Thanks for the response however I bought a new printer. This time I focused on the cost of ink as the main driver with quality and performance being runers up.
Result I bought a Canon 5650 (yes I know it is not the most modern) but a compatible replacement of the ink (all 5 colors) is under 8 pounds. This allows for cheap printing. The ink for the next up in the Canon lineup (MG 5750 ) is 20 pounds for all 5 colors.
HP Envy 110 cartridges.
Original HP 300 XL are 70 pounds for 1 black and 1 color.
Compatible cartridges are 33 pounds for 1 black and 1 color.
Comparison
The number of pages for all cartridges HP and Canon compatible are within the same ballpark.
So Canon at 8 pounds for 5 cartridges wins hands down. Even if you buy Canon branded inks they are only 21 pounds. so much cheaper than HP.
Again thanks for your response
