HP Officejet 6600

I have the HP Officejet 6600, have never had an issue, until now.  Black ink ran out, replaced the cartridge with the correct HP cartridge and get an incompatible error.  I have unplugged the printer for 60 seconds, I have the correct firmware, I have taken the cartridge out and wiped it with a lint free cloth and nothing is working.

Thank you for contacting HP.

The printer HP OJ 6600 uses the HP 920 Cartridges. I am sure you are using the correct cartridge, I just wanted to confirm from my end.

Install the Cartridges in the correct slot matching the color symbol, the cartridge should snap in with a click sound.

The Cartridge should be installed in such a way that the cartridge label is upright.

Perform the cleaning for Copper chip a couple of times.

Also ensure that any protective tape and plastic covering is removed from the cartridges.

 

For further assistance please reply to the post and also Check the Ink Cartridge Warranty date and capture the details. Let us know the Warranty date mentioned on the cartridges.

I am using HP 932 and HP 933 cartridges, which is what I have always used and what shows on the printer that I should be using.  My black ink ran out, I bought a new black ink and installed it, properly and this is when the problem started.  The warranty date is 2021/09 for the black ink that I just purchased.  They colored ink still has plenty left and was functioning fine a couple of days ago until my black ink ran out.

I apologize, I checked incorrect information. The printer uses HP 932 and 933 cartridges.

If you have already performed the steps that I mentioned earlier, then this needs a hardware / part intervention that can be done by a Live Agent via Live Chat or Voice,
