I have an HP Envy 5640 that had been working fine, but after I tried to install a new cartridge (genuine) it comes up with "Ink Cartridge Problem" Remove and reinstall the indicated ink cartridge, making sure it is correctly installed, and then touch ok" I have tried resetting the printer, cleaned the cartridge, cleaned the inside of the cartridge chamber, I have totally disconnected and reconnected the printer. I also tried to reset the memory by inserting the old cartridge and waiting 10 min and putting in the new cartridge and turning the printer off and on. That also didn't work! I am out of ideas.

 

Any help is greatly appreciated.

I understand you are not able to print due to this error with the new ink cartridge. I appreciate your efforts in trying to resolve this issue by performing the necessary troubleshooting steps.

If you have tried the steps mentioned in the article HP Printer Does not Print and Error Indicates Faulty Ink Cartridge, and the error persists, this could be a defective ink cartridge.

 

Please reach out to the HP Support in your region regarding the service options for your printer.
