Black/yellow printhead was replaced and worked fine for a short time. Then quit printing black all (same reason printhead was replaced). Ran all the usual reports and utilities, finally pulled the printhead. There was excess black ink on the contacts and around the nozzles. Further inspection shows lots of ink below the docking station.

Does anyone know if this could be caused by a faulty printhead? This printer gets low usage but I really don't want to replace it. I will invest in another printhead if I have to but I'd hate to do that if there's a clear indication of a bigger problem here. Obviously this printer is out of warranty. Any help would be appreciated.

Is it copying in black? Have you tried all the steps from here?: https://support.hp.com/us-en/product/hp-officejet-pro-l7500-all-in-one-printer-series/2511708/model/...

If yes, it sit could be a faulty printhead. If no, please do try the steps and let us know.
