Envy 6000
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I purchased both color and b&W XL HP Brand cartridges, ever since whenever I use the printer for the first time after turning on my computer the orange light flashes and the "E" flashes. I have to struggle to get the cartridges out on the carriage where I can remove and replace them then sometimes the printer starts to work.

The whole printer has become unreliable from teh start, sometimes going offline. When HP Smart App is invoked to trouble shoot it states the problem is fixed but it IS NOT.

Hi,

What is the ink cartridges number? are these genuine HP cartridge or replacement cartridges?

Can you see E0 flashing on the screen? or any other number next to the E code?

If this is E0, open the cartridge access door and check which cartridge is indicated by the internal lamp, the right or the left cartridge?

I checked the cartridge it is the color cartridge. ID on the cartridge is and HP 67 model 3YM58A. Purchased from HP via Amazon.

The Amber light for that cartridge is on and the printer shows an E0 error. If I remove and replace the cartridge the printer cycles and then sometimes starts to work. Sometimes it will print an alignment sheet, a waste of paper, Duh. Sometimes it does not solve the problem so have to cycle through the recovery steps again. Possibly an bad cartridge?

Yes, likely a bad cartridge.

Please remove the Tri-Color cartridge and close the cartridge latch, then close the door

Restart the printer and print using Single Ink Cartridge mode with the Black cartridge only and ensure the printer works as expected.

Did you get the same results with 2 different ink cartridge or you refer to the specific one? this is possibly a bad cartridge, assuming a single Tri-Color cartridge is affected.

I removed the tri-color cartridge and the system started printing using only the Black and White cartridge. I guess that means the tri color is bad. But I just bought it it is a new HP Brand cartridge!!! Very Annoying.

The new tri-color cartridge is obviously bad, but I do not have the one I took out as I dropped it off at a local staples for recycling.
