Product: HP Officejet Pro 8630 e-All-in-One Printer series
Operating System: Mac OS X 10.7 Lion

I joined HP's Instant Ink program in April 2017 after canceling earlier that month. (I was enrolled in 2015 when I bought my printer, and canceled in April 2017 thinking it was a waste of money. My cartridges stopped working unless I rejoined, which I did. I was sent a WELCOME KIT of ink cartridges AND just received ANOTHER set. I am STILL using my ink cartridges from 2016! HP is saying I am low on ink, but I have quite a bit left. My question is: Is my WELCOME KIT ink no longer useable? If so, should I mail it back? I hate to waste.

 

Any thoughts?

Unlike the "setup" cartridges used for initialization of the printer, the Instant Ink cartridges are the same whether they are the welcome kit or the replacement cartridges.   You can use the welcome kit cartridges.
