My HP printer worked quite well, until I cancelled HP Instant Ink. It is impossible to cancel "any time" online. HP puts you into a vicious cycle that never ends if you try to cancel online. I finally cancelled the monthly payment through my bank and then through multiple emails with HP online support, they also finally cancelled. Then, magically, I began getting messages on my printer:  HP Instant Ink Problem: You will be unable to print soon. Visit www.hpinstantink.com.

I wrote more emails to HP Support to complain and several emails later, they "escalated" to HP Support in my region. That was 2/28. No response. And today, 3/4, my printer will not work. The ink cartridges are full. There is nothing wrong with the printer. This is an intentional programmed failure by HP. The HP community board is rife with these complaints. This is a shameful business practice for which HP should be outed.

Apologies for the inconvenience caused. To cancel the enrollment, you may refer to the steps mentioned in this document - Cancel Your HP Instant Ink Service

The steps are simple to perform.

Once the enrollment is cancelled, you will have to use regular HP inks. Instant Ink cartridges will not work anymore.

Kindly check if you are still using Instant Ink cartridges.
